Having pursued a career in golf over the last 7 years I have experienced much of what has to offer. The ups and downs of a swing construction and the trials and tribulations of trying to grind playing on some of golf’s Mini-Tours. I’ve also served in different capacities in the golf industry from being a Pro Shop Attendant, Assistant Manager and then as a Director of Golf.

I started a website (alexandertothgolf.com) while fighting to keep my lower right leg when an infection caused severe complications that led to gangrene. I had to find a way to exercise my mind and I turned to writing. I fell back on my previous experiences as I used to write for a fly fishing e-Zine called “Fly Fish Ontario”. I was happy if one person read what I had to say. I’ve been blown away by the success that followed. A change was needed so I decided to re-brand when my domain expired on January 10th, 2017.

So I’d like to welcome you all to  “The Next Tee” where I hope to bring you (my readers) bigger and better things.

So what is “The Next Tee – The Good, Bad and Ugly of Golf”? As an accredited member of golf media I feel that there is way too much partiality and bias. Whether it’s men’s professional golf or golf equipment reviews. At “The Next Tee” that is the case. This is a golf platform consisting of golf industry press releases from the industry’s “David’s and Goliath’s”, golf equipment reviews where “unbiased and honest” should go without saying. A golf media outlet where the views and opinions are totally and unequivocally non-partisan. The site will always evolve and remain fluid like life and the game of golf. Ever-changing.

I fought hard to build what I’ve developed and I’ve battled through a variety of health issues (too many to list). Thus my hashtag #fightandgrind. It can be applied to many things, and not just golf. Always fight and never quit, even though it has been tempting at times. Nothing’s been easy and I’ve scratched and clawed for every inch and/or opportunity. I’m proud of that, and forever humble for every view. I’ve evolved myself to simply become better. Better health and a better golfer. Who knows what the future will bring or where the road goes when you get around the next bend. After all, life is a journey.

Since starting out I’ve seen my site traffic grow, I started “TeeBox Chatter: The Golf Podcast” in 2021, I’ve started getting more active with YouTube (@theNextTee) and other media channels like Instagram and TikTok. I’ve provided golf commentary for tournament golf (Great Lakes Tour Southern Ontario Open and Fenergic Coupe Canada) via GolfZoogle. Not to be outdone I’ve gained media credentials with the LPGA (Tour), Epson Tour, LIV Golf, and PGA TOUR Canada.

When I’m not absorbed in golf I can be found spending time with my family, my 11 year-old Black Labrador Retriever (Muskoka) or on some water with a fly rod in my hands.

Until The Next Tee!!
