Y’know, 2023 was pretty freaking tough. It was pretty much all that I could handle. To be totally frank, there were times when I thought that giving up on life was the best option. So when the calendar flipped to 2024, I was excited.

Ah yes. A new beginning. Things straightened themselves out a little with my health. My amputation sites healed and golf activity resumed, I was testing products for review that I had received a year earlier and I was employed at a golf course in Mount Hope, Ontario (Southern Pines Golf Club). Everything was right in the world.

Then, 2024 said “Not this year Little Satan”. A new diabetic foot ulcer in May which is still healing, renal issues, Sepsis on two occasions, and to top it off a stroke in August. 2024 was/has been pretty tough in its own right. #FightAndGrind is a hashtag that I developed a long time ago. It can mean many things. Mostly, never give up… no matter how tough things get.

I made it a goal to return to all things golf before the end of the year, including being back on the golf course. Getting back onto a golf course this would depend on many things, especially at this time of the year. Mother Nature, I’m looking directly at you.

Guess what? On December 28th, 2024 it happened. St. Davids Golf Club.

Until The Next Tee!!
